A un projet coûteux de transformation d’un stade de football en un stade d’athlétisme, Alain Sarfati a répondu de manière originale en proposant deux stades fonctionnant de façon concomitante. Sa réflexion sur la compacité, la technique et l’économie a mis en lumière une démarche qui place l’architecture dans le champ de la méthodologie.

Alain Sarfati’s response to this costly plan to enable the dual-use of a stadium for both football and athletics was unconventional, different: his proposal was for two adjacent grounds. His reflection on the compactness, technique and economy required highlighted the methodological approach that underpinned his final design.
